The Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) Museum will present select vehicles and artifacts from its new “From the Vault” exhibit presented by Bank of America at this year’s Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Trade Show, set for December 12–14 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis.

The iconic cars set for the special display include the 1991 Benetton B191 car driven by Michael Schumacher and later Nelson Picquet; the 1909 Buick 16B, believed to have been one of the vehicles entered by Buick for the inaugural three-day meet at IMS; the 1930 Alfa Romeo 308 C, campaigned by Frenchman Raymon Sommer in Europe and later by Chet Miller in the US; and the 1996 Dodge Viper pace car, which was the last non-GM car to pace the IMS field.

Additional artifacts include the World’s Automobile Track Record trophy; the 1962 USAC National Champion trophy; the 1941 Emil Andres “polo” style helmet; the 1972 Al Unser early full-face style helmet; the 2001 Ralph Schumacher helmet; wooden timing and scoring boxes; the Daytona 500 board game; model cars and more.

The 2019 PRI Trade Show will feature over 1,100 companies exhibiting in more than 3,300 booths and showcasing the latest products, services, machinery, simulation, and testing technologies, and trailers for the racing industry in a single location.
