Last year at the PRI Trade Show in Indianapolis we did something new. It was actually based on something we’d launched a year earlier.

The “year earlier” thing was our Featured Products Showcase—a dedicated section of the Indiana Convention Center where exhibitors could display their newest race parts and technology all in one location. Buyers and media would then explore these products up-close, learn a bit more about them, and connect with the respective manufacturers in their booths on the Show floor.

The Showcase was a hit, as hundreds of exhibitors took advantage of the opportunity for additional exposure while highlighting their hottest products. Attendees dug it, too, recognizing the value in gaining unprecedented...

It’s been a few decades, but as a youngster I really enjoyed working through a good jigsaw puzzle.

Didn’t even matter what the image was, there was just something about fitting all those little pieces together to form a nice, clear picture that struck a chord.

One minute you’re sitting in front of a table full of scattered, seemingly unrelated parts… and then a short time later you’ve created a fully formed likeness of a castle, or a painting, or Jimi Hendrix.

Have you ever heard the story of Bubble Wrap? If not, it’s worth a quick run-through.

In the late 1950s, a couple of engineers named Alfred Fielding and Marc Chavannes wanted to create a new kind of wallpaper based on a product they’d developed that was made up of two plastic sheets, joined together, with air bubbles in between.  
   
At this point you may be asking, “Who on earth would cover their walls with this stuff?”

Wow... What a Show!

This year's Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Trade Show in Indianapolis more than delivered on its billing as the world's premier event for motorsports professionals over three days of exhibits and a Race Industry Week that provided a wealth of training, education, networking opportunities and special events.

Attended by tens of thousands of racing and performance buyers and industry members, the December 6-8 expo at the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium produced a one-of-a-kind experience and venue to shop aisles of new products and equipment by more than 1100 leading manufacturers and service providers.
