East, Brooks & Harrison Joining Little 500 HoF

Current Little 500 mechanic Sam Brooks, current car builder and mechanic Bob East and former driver David Harrison make up the Class of 2018 and will be honored on Saturday, May 26.
  The ceremony is part of the Pay Less Little 500 presented by UAW-GM week at Anderson Speedway.
Laguna Seca Makes It Official With WeatherTech

The County of Monterey and WeatherTech have signed a multiyear naming rights agreement at the famed 11-turn, 2.238-mile road course.
  WeatherTech replaces Mazda, which held a 17-year naming rights sponsorship that ends March 31.
Edelbrock Appoints New President & CEO

Torrance, California-based Edelbrock, LLC has appointed Don Barry to the lead the company. "Edelbrock is an iconic brand in the aftermarket industry and I look forward to leading Edelbrock's growth into the future and being part of this historic company's next phase,” Barry said.
  Don Barry joins Edelbrock after most recently serving as the chief commercial officer of ISN.
Triad Racing Technologies (TRT) Up For Sale

The longtime engine builder and supplier builds NASCAR race engines and body parts and is a primary vendor for Toyota Racing Development. Its engines have raced in all three NASCAR touring series.

IMG Launches Americas Rallycross Series (ARX)

The launch follows the news that Red Bull Global Rallycross (GRC) will replace its headline Supercar category with the new Gold class which runs upgraded Lites cars in 2018.
  The series will feature four events in 2018, beginning overseas at Silverstone on May 25–27.
Four Teams Qualify As Hot Rodders Kicks Off 10th Anniversary Season

Twenty-five teams competed at the Race & Performance Expo with four advancing to the Dual National Championship held later this year at the SEMA Show and PRI Trade Show.
  The Race & Performance Expo is home to the first ever HROT event which took place in 2008.
Laguna Seca May Soon Get New Sponsor

The world-renowned Laguna Seca road course could be getting a new title sponsor as soon as next month, which could see the track renamed WeatherTech Raceway at Laguna Seca.
  The Monterey County Board of Supervisors is considering a five-year, $5 million rights deal.
Burns Stainless Changes Ownership, Moves Operations
 Industry News
Partners and owners of exhaust components manufacturer Burns Stainless have transitioned ownership to longtime technical partner Vince Roman. The company has also changed addresses but remains in Costa Mesa.
  Burns Stainless' new address is 1041 W. 18th Street, B-104, Costa Mesa, California.
