The annual end-of-season NMPA Myers Brothers Awards Luncheon, held in Las Vegas, awarded 19 different individuals and companies for their outstanding efforts in the performance racing and NASCAR fields, including the late Betty Jane France.

The Mercedes driver made his announcement during the FIA world champions gala on Friday in Vienna, just five days after securing his title. Nico Rosberg clinched his first title in Sunday's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, beating Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton.
Rosberg said that, having achieved his childhood dream, he felt it was the right time to stop.
Monster Energy, which will begin its tenure as naming rights partner on Jan. 1, 2017, will become only the third company to serve as the entitlement sponsor in NASCAR premier series history, following RJ Reynolds and Sprint/Nextel.
As part of the agreement, Monster Energy also becomes the Official Energy Drink of NASCAR.
The conference curriculum is delivered in educational modules including medicine and physiology, applied science, logistics and administration, and motorsports safety.
The two-day conference takes place December 7–8 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis.
Known as Race Industry Week, the days leading up to and including the PRI Show offer more than 45 conferences, seminars and special events in and around the Indiana Convention Center beginning December 5.
The PRI 2016 Trade Show will feature over 1,100 companies throughout 3,300 booths.
The purpose of the seminar is to create an awareness of the unique safety needs of short track drivers and the safety measures that are available to lessen their risk of injury. This free seminar addresses these issues for drivers, builders and mechanics.
The seminar takes place at the Performance Racing Industry Trade Show on December 9, 2016.
The new adventure for track management and new era of short track racing in Fort Wayne will debut on Saturday, May 20, 2017, with the Engine Pro Sprints on Dirt Series presented by ARP.
